On the East side of Lake Pend Oreille between Garfield Bay and Bayview lays one of the most beautiful peaceful areas we have visited. A mere 15-20 minute boat ride to Whiskey Rock State Park. We dock our boat and then walk the trails to the top of he "rock" to sit amid the evergreens with our cheese and a bottle of wine overlooking the lake below. It just doesn't get much better than this.
